Established in 2010, the NALCAB Pete Garcia Community Economic Development Fellowship was created to address the growing leadership gap in Latino-serving community development nonprofits. The program offers training for next-generation Latino leaders to build the practical, personal, and professional skills needed to succeed in the community economic development field, and helps practitioners become more effective leaders through leadership development, technical training, and the facilitation of peer networks.
To date, the Fellowship has graduated 205 Latino Leaders from across the country, representing 122 unique nonprofit organizations in 27 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
