NALCAB Story Collection Drive
As budget negotiations are ongoing in Congress, NALCAB’s advocacy campaign surrounding the federal budget continues in the face of drastic budget cuts from appropriators in the US House of Representatives. Now more than ever, we need to hear your stories.
How have federal funds helped you serve the needs of your community? Tell us about it.
Stories are incredible tools for showing the real impact that federal funding programs have on our communities who need it most. Programs like the US Small Business Administration’s Entrepreneurial Development Programs, HUD’s Affordable Housing Programs, and among other funding streams that are key to fueling economic growth in Latino communities across the country. Your stories can come from any fiscal year, and we’ve included the ability to upload supporting documents and photos to fully transmit the impact of these funds to policymakers.

Annual Advocacy Day
Each spring while congressional committees are working on the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, NALCAB members from all over the country convene in Washington, DC for NALCAB’s Annual Congressional Advocacy Day. On this day we advocate for federal policies that make a meaningful difference in the lives of Latinos and LMI communities with particular emphasis on federal appropriations. NALCAB members communicate to members of Congress the importance of robust federal funding to fuel key community and economic development programs that support Latino economic advancement.
NALCAB’s Summer in the States Campaign
Join us throughout August during the Congressional District Work Period by meeting with your members of Congress in your home state or district, and contacting them to advocate for robust federal dollars to support programs that boost the economic trajectory of Latinos.
