Webinar Overview

For months now, our country has been gripped by the COVID-19 crisis, which continues to disproportionately affect communities of color. Congress has taken action, creating new programs and funding opportunities to stimulate our economy. As we continue to navigate these uncertainties, many questions remain. What is the outlook for additional public policy efforts? What resources have already been made available in COVID-19 relief legislation? Will this influx of relief affect Congress’ normal appropriations cycle and funding for community and economic development programs?

This webinar provides answers to these questions and valuable information that will help ensure low-income and communities of color get their fair share of resources in the federal response to COVID-19 and in federal funding during Fiscal Year 2021. Clarinda Landeros, Director of Public Policy at NALCAB is joined by Manuel Ochoa, a community development professional with extensive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) experience, and local policy implementation expert Sara Lopez to help answer your questions.
