Katherine Contreras serves as Federal Program Specialist at NALCAB, where she supports HUD-funded programs including the Rural Capacity Building (RCB) Program and the Community Compass Program that focus on building assets in local communities throughout the US through affordable housing and community development programs.

Prior to joining NALCAB Katherine worked for the city of San Antonio as a Data Analyst in the COVID-19 sector. Additionally, she managed an air conditioning company partnered with the City of Austin to help low income multifamily and single-family homes. Katherine is a native of Austin and a proud Guatemalan. She graduated from Texas State University with a Batchelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in International Business.
