As Small Business Program Specialist, Diana Rubi coordinates NALCAB’s national program to support small business-serving nonprofits through grantmaking, technical assistance, and training. Diana also supports NALCAB’s initiatives to strengthen Community Development Financial Institutions, affordable housing, and financial capability in Latino communities.

Diana is a first-generation Latina, born in Mexico City and raised in Central Illinois. Her background is in community organizing, program development, and management, formerly working with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Diana has 5+ years of experience leading and executing high-impact programs and operations initiatives.

She has also led efforts to bridge communities through strategic partnerships and community collaborations. Her personal experience as a first-gen professional offers a distinctive perspective in managing projects and working with entrepreneurs and community partners. Diana is a graduate of Monmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, International Studies, and Spanish.
