Ana Sandoval
Ana Sandoval serves as NALCAB’s Senior Director of Climate Justice & Energy Initiatives. In this role, she leads NALCAB’s efforts in national partnerships and programs focused on climate and green energy. Ana brings two decades of expertise in environmental planning, public engagement, and environmental justice.
Ana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University, and a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health from the Harvard Chan School of Public Health. Previously a San Antonio City Councilwoman for District 7, Ana spearheaded the city’s Climate Action Plan and established the Resiliency, Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Fund. She also collaborated with the San Francisco Bay Area communities on air pollution, where she built partnerships for climate initiatives with local nonprofits.
Originally from Mexico and raised in San Antonio, Ana is dedicated to community service, including adult literacy and immigrant support. Ana is currently a Board Member of the Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance.
