With the generous support of the Northwest Area Foundation, NALCAB is releasing this request for proposals (RFP) to provide four grants of $15,000 and intensive technical assistance to nonprofit organizations located through the Northwest area region (Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, and Washington) for a period of 9 months to develop policy advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal level. Eligible activities include but are not limited to:
• Conducting a needs assessment of current capacity to respond to public policy issues and identifying priorities.
• Coordinating and developing a campaign around a specific public policy issue particular to the subgrantee.
• Building staff capacity to engage in policy advocacy at the federal, state and local levels.
• Creating and distributing communications and outreach to disseminate information on regarding a policy.
• We also encourage your own ideas of how NALCAB can best help your organization engage in policy advocacy.
