Brenda Lozano serves as NALCAB’s Director of Lending, advancing the organization’s mission-oriented lending and investment activities. Brenda plays a crucial role in NALCAB by presenting loans to the loan committee for approval, ensuring alignment with organization policies and limits.

She excels in cultivating positive relationships with funders, investors, and vendors, contributing to NALCAB’s financial ecosystem. Brenda actively manages and evaluates the pipeline of CDFIs and small business lenders within the NALCAB network, optimizing opportunities for collaboration and growth. Additionally, she effectively represents NALCAB’s Rural Revolving Loan Fund across various platforms, including conferences, one-on-one meetings, and target markets, enhancing visibility and engagement.

Brenda is fluent in both English and Spanish, holding a Master’s in Management from Texas A&M San Antonio and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio, specializing in International Business. With over 15 years in lending and underwriting in CDFI and community banking sectors, Brenda has shaped financial products that provide vital capital access to businesses nationwide. She’s committed to promoting inclusion and empowerment through education and improving access to financial and political systems.
