Aaron Villarreal serves as Program Manager for NALCAB’s Equitable Neighborhood Development team providing technical assistance, data analysis and support to local communities and nonprofit organizations on a range of affordable housing and economic development issues.

Aaron has worked in the nonprofit sector for the last decade. He served as the Director of Community Development at The Impact Guild in San Antonio, leading workshops around nonprofit organizational and financial sustainability and developing a curriculum for community engagement. He also helped start the Good Acres program at The Impact Guild to help philanthropic landowners build community projects including parks and affordable housing. Lastly, Aaron worked as a program design manager at 20 Degrees in Washington, DC, teaching financial resiliency and providing technical assistance to nonprofits, small businesses, and early childhood centers.

Aaron has his bachelor’s degree in advertising from Texas Tech University. He is a certified project manager and serves as the interim executive director for Poderosa Rising.
