San Antonio — NALCAB (National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders) proudly announces that it has surpassed $50 million in loans deployed through its national lending network. This milestone underscores NALCAB’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to capital, supporting small businesses, promoting affordable housing, and advancing economic mobility in low-to-moderate income communities across the United States.
“Deploying more than $50M in loans is a major milestone for NALCAB and the 200+ nonprofit organizations within our network,” said Marla Bilonick, President & CEO of NALCAB. “It underscores our collective power and the trust placed in our members by the communities, families, and small businesses they serve. We are grateful to our members and partners for making this possible, and we look forward to continuing to expand opportunity to the communities that need it the most”
NALCAB’s national network of economic development nonprofits and CDFIs serve more than 3M individuals each year. In 2025 alone, NALCAB borrowers originated over 250,000 small business loans totaling $245 million, helping entrepreneurs access capital, create 662 new businesses, support 945 jobs, and contribute to the development of 363 affordable housing units in communities across the country.
NALCAB looks forward to continuing to advance economic development and wealth-building in the communities that need it the most and welcomes new partners and investment to help expand this impact. This milestone reflects a shared commitment to strengthening communities and creating lasting economic prosperity nationwide.
