Vicky Garcia serves as Chief Executive Officer of Latino Community Credit Union (LCCU), where she is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the organization’s risk management functions in accordance with the policies and limits established by the Board of Directors. She also leads the preparation, coordination, and implementation of the Credit Union’s overall strategic direction.
Previously, Vicky served as Vice President of Operations at LCCU, where she managed the lending program, led product development initiatives, oversaw operational activities, and served as the organization’s compliance officer. Since joining the Credit Union in 2001, she has held various leadership roles, including overseeing regional branches and managing LCCU’s flagship branch in Durham. She began her involvement with the organization as a volunteer loan officer and member of the credit committee.
Before joining LCCU, Vicky spent eight years in corporate relationship management and risk analysis at Citibank Colombia, working with global and top-tier local corporate clients. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
