Shelly Marquez

Shelly Marquez serves as President of Mercy Housing Mountain Plains, where she leads the region’s operations including real estate development, fundraising, and resident services. Mercy Housing Mountain Plains is an affiliate of Mercy Housing, the nation’s largest nonprofit affordable housing provider, and operates across seven states: Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and South Dakota.
Marquez brings over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Mercy Housing, she served as Senior Vice President and Community Relations Senior Manager at Wells Fargo, where she led community relations across 13 states. Her work focused on stakeholder engagement, charitable contributions, community outreach, and brand reputation. She also held previous leadership roles in lending and retail banking in the Denver metro area.
She currently serves on the board of Housing Colorado and Community First Foundation. Her prior board service includes roles with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Community Development Advisory Council, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, Impact Development Fund, and Colorado Enterprise Fund.
Marquez resides in Littleton, Colorado, with her husband Mark, and has two adult daughters, Nicole and Stephanie.
