Director of Communications

Michael Farnham

As Director of Communications at NALCAB, Michael leads strategic efforts to amplify the organization’s mission of advancing economic prosperity for Latino communities. Based in Washington, DC, Michael oversees communications initiatives that elevate NALCAB’s programs, impact, and advocacy work on a national scale.

Michael brings over a decade of experience spanning professional sports, broadcast media, and the climate and energy sectors. Prior to joining NALCAB, he served as Communications Director for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), where he enhanced the visibility of the organization and its 300+ members through national and trade media, with a focus on electrification.

Previously, Michael spent four years at Ocean Conservancy, where he launched the organization’s Florida program, and secured Ocean Conservancy’s role as the official Ocean Partner for Super Bowl 54 in Miami. His career began in professional sports, where he served on the to the communications teams of four NFL franchises (Washington, San Francisco, Jacksonville, and Miami). While with the Miami Dolphins, he developed the team’s first Hispanic outreach plan, strengthening connections with South Florida’s Latino community. Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts from Old Dominion University.
