Maria Elena is an accomplished Executive Assistant to the CEO, where she brings 25+ years of experience supporting senior leadership and driving executive-level operations.
As Executive Assistant and Special Projects Officer, Maria Elena is responsible for supporting NALCAB’s President & CEO. She is responsible for a wide range of analytical tasks to enhance the President & CEO’s efficiency and effectiveness on a day-to-day basis, as well as logistical support related to scheduling, traveling, and special projects.
Maria Elena moved to Washington, DC, 10 years ago. Prior to joining NALCAB, Maria Elena was with the Infectious Diseases Society of America Foundation, where she was the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director. Maria Elena was born in Santiago, Cuba, and is originally from Miami, Florida.
