Elizabeth Nimmons

Elizabeth Nimmons, PhD, serves as Director of Public Policy at NALCAB, where she advances policies that expand economic opportunity and mobility for Latino communities. Based in Washington, DC, she supports the organization’s federal advocacy strategy, legislative priorities, and policy research initiatives.

Elizabeth brings extensive experience in housing policy, economic mobility, and immigrant advocacy. Prior to joining NALCAB, she served as Senior Policy & Research Analyst at the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), where she led the development of policy priorities and research focused on expanding access to homeownership and addressing barriers to housing affordability.

Earlier in her career, Elizabeth spent nearly a decade conducting research and working with refugee communities across the United States. Her work focused on issues of migration and civic engagement, shaping her ongoing commitment to expanding economic opportunity for immigrant communities. Drawing on her background in community-based research and federal policy advocacy, Elizabeth works to advance data-driven solutions that promote economic growth.

Elizabeth holds a BA in Sociology from Boston College and an MA and PhD in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin.
