Program Manager
April is Program Manager of NALCE (National Alliance of Latino CDFI Executives), a cross-collaborative initiative to unite and amplify the voices of Latino-led CDFIs and drive capital to the communities they serve. She supports NALCE members by providing access to capital, capacity building, influencing public economic policy, and CDFI networking and learning.
She has supported a range of key NALCE initiatives that advance the capacity of Latino-led CDFIs, including coordinating national convenings and facilitating regional roundtables that promote collaboration and peer learning. April also plays a central role in organizing trainings that strengthens organizational readiness and expands access to capital. Through her work, she helps create spaces for shared learning, resource connection, and strategic growth across the NALCE network.
Prior to joining NALCAB, April worked for the State of Texas as a Provider Investigator IV, with Health and Human Services conducting investigations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable individuals throughout the state. April holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). She is a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honors Society.
