Jeremy Carter
As Senior Director of Programs, Jeremy Carter oversees the management of NALCAB’s Small Business Investment, Equitable Neighborhood Development, and Financial Capability programs and the delivery of TA, grantmaking, resources, and training for each. He also supports NALCAB federal initiatives drawing upon his knowledge of HUD Rural Capacity Building, HUD OneCPD/Community Compass, HUD Fair Housing Initiatives, HUD Border Community Capital Initiative, SBA PRIME, US Treasury CDFI, US HHS Community Economic Development, US Commerce MBDA, and USDA Rural Business Development programs.
Jeremy has over 17 years of experience in planning and implementing development initiatives with culturally and linguistically relevant best practices in disadvantaged communities, primarily Latino and immigrant, across the US and Latin America. His expertise includes small business development and lending, affordable housing development and lending, neighborhood preservation, workforce development, immigrant integration, and financial empowerment projects that build wealth and assets, increase economic opportunity, promote diversity, equity and inclusion, and encourage civic engagement.
Jeremy is bilingual (English/Spanish) and received his Bachelor of the Arts in Spanish from UNC-Wilmington and his Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona.
