Shelly Marquez
Shelly Marquez is the President of Mercy Housing Mountain Plains where she leads the region’s operations, including real estate development, fundraising and resident services. Mercy Housing Mountain Plains is an affiliate of Mercy Housing, the nation’s largest affordable housing nonprofit, and serves seven states: Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and South Dakota.
Marquez has 35+ years of experience in financial services industry and most recently served as Senior Vice President – Community Relations Senior Manager at Wells Fargo where she managed the community relations team across 13 states and oversaw community outreach, stakeholder engagement, charitable contributions, and reputation activities. Previously, she has held positions in lending and banking retail at Wells Fargo in the Denver metro market.
Marquez is active in the community and currently serves on the board for Housing Colorado, and Board member for Community First Foundation. Previously, she served on the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas, Community Development Advisory Council, was board president for Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver, past board president of Impact Development Fund, and past board president for Colorado Enterprise Fund.
Marquez resides in Littleton, CO with husband Mark and has two adult daughters, Nicole and Stephanie.
