Senior Manager of Rural Capacity Building
As Senior Program Manager at NALCAB, Jackie supports the organization’s Rural Capacity Building Program, managing both federal and non-federal grants. Her work focuses on strengthening the capacity of rural organizations across the United States and Puerto Rico by providing funding and technical assistance.
Jackie joined NALCAB in 2022 as a Program Specialist, supporting the Federal Team in managing the Community Compass Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In that role, she provided technical assistance to local governments on issues related to community development and affordable housing.
Prior to NALCAB, Jackie worked at the Center for Nonprofits & Philanthropy at Texas A&M University –Bush School of Government and Public Service. There, she supported the delivery of the Child Care Business Training and coordinated continuing education certificate programs. She also worked in the Office of Community and Economic Development for the City of Bryan, TX, where she contributed to the administration of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
With over five years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Jackie brings a strong background in public service and community-based initiatives.
She holds a Master’s degree in Public Service and Administration and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Bush School of Government and Public Service, as well as a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Texas A&M University in College Station.
