Chief External Affairs Officer

Alejandra Amaroli

Based in NALCAB’s Washington, DC office, she oversees the organization’s strategies to increase visibility, expand funding opportunities, deepen member engagement, and strengthen data-driven impact storytelling. In partnership with NALCAB’s President & CEO, Alejandra leads NALCAB’s resource development efforts, managing funder relationships and driving fundraising strategy to grow and diversify the organization’s revenue.

Alejandra brings over 12 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on supporting Latino and immigrant communities through fundraising, external relations, and strategic partnerships. Prior to her current role, Alejandra served as Senior Director of External Affairs and Director of Resource Development at NALCAB, where she led efforts to secure and steward public and private funding, strengthen organizational visibility, and deepen member engagement across the country.

Before joining NALCAB, she worked in adult immigrant education at the Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School in Washington, DC, where she specialized in fundraising, communications, and multi-level strategic alliances to advance educational and economic opportunity.

Born and raised in El Salvador, Alejandra is deeply committed to creating systems that expand access to opportunities for all. She is a native Spanish speaker with native proficiency in English, and she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Human Development with a focus on International Development.
