
Steven-Alfonso Maldonado

As the Program Manager for Equitable Neighborhood Development, Steven-Alfonso is responsible for the stewardship of grants and organizational support focused on neighborhood change and its impacts on entrepreneurship and small business corridors, affordable housing development and family financial capability.
While studying at the University of Texas-San Antonio, Steven was able to find his passion for community development work. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mexican American Studies and Nonprofit Management, he worked in the nonprofit arts sector and then transitioned into community outreach with the UTSA Center for Civic Engagement. Prior to joining NALCAB, Steven also worked with a national foundation focused on the disruption of human trafficking.
