As Director of Training & Leadership Development at NALCAB, Natalia manages the organization’s events, training, and leadership development initiatives. As part of her role, she oversees NALCAB’s Pete Garcia Community Economic Development Fellowship, which offers training for next-generation Latino leaders from across the country and Puerto Rico to build the practical, personal, and professional skills needed to grow in the nonprofit community economic development field.

 

Natalia also manages NALCAB’s annual National Conference, which provides a national network of community development practitioners with a place to learn, connect, and explore opportunities for Latino economic advancement, social justice, and the sharing of best practices.

In her previous role at NALCAB, Natalia supported the Small Business Development team in providing technical assistance and capacity building to more than 100 nonprofits across the US to help strengthen and expand their asset building programs in the areas of economic development, small business development, public policy advocacy, affordable housing, and financial capability.

 

Before joining NALCAB, Natalia worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center, a mixed-business incubator of the College of Business of Texas A&M University Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC). She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and earned her Master’s degree in Business Management (MBA).

 

Natalia is originally from Popayan, Cauca, Colombia and is a small business owner of Morpho Style Boutique – an accessory and jewelry line which brings unique, handmade, and ecofriendly products from Colombia to the US. Today, Morpho Style Boutique supports women and over 23 low-income families from Natalia’s native country.
