As Investment Analyst at NALCAB, Melissa evaluates prospective and existing investments made by NALCAB in member small business lenders and nonprofit developers of affordable housing and community facilities. Her responsibilities encompass a comprehensive analysis of member financial statements, loan portfolios, lending policies and procedures, and strategies to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit, as well as prepare and present impact, credit, and financial analysis to NALCAB’s senior leadership and committees.

Melissa is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador where she pursued a career in International Business until she migrated to the United States in 2017. There she worked closely with the community through volunteer service during her high school years. Following her transition to the United States, she wanted to continue her passion advocating for the Latino Community. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Huntingdon College, she has worked as a Bilingual Immigration Paralegal, Bilingual Financial Coach, and as a Small Business Loan Officer with the purpose of empowering and advancing the Latino community to grow and thrive.
