April DeMendonca
April DeMendonca brings a wealth of experience to her role as Program Manager of the National Alliance of Latino CDFI Executives (NALCE), a cross-collaborative initiative created to unite and amplify the voices of Latino-led CDFIs and drive capital toward Latino Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to further benefit underserved communities. April manages programs that support NALCE members through access to capital, capacity building, influencing public economic policy, and CDFI networking and learning. April has a strong record of supporting NALCAB CDFI Certification Program participants, CDFIs, and small business-serving nonprofits through grantmaking, technical assistance, and training.
Prior to joining NALCAB, April worked for the State of Texas conducting investigations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable individuals throughout the state. April holds a Master of Science in Criminology and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and is a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honors Society.
