Duanne Andrade
Duanne Andrade is the Executive Director of Solar and Energy Loan Fund (SELF) and is responsible for: raising public, private and philanthropic capital; overseeing the financial operation, risk management and loan portfolio performance, and: developing innovative financing programs to help low-and-moderate income populations gain access to affordable capital for sustainable home improvements. Duanne, a Bolivian national, developed a passion for social and environmental justice issues while growing up in 8 countries spanning 4 continents.
In her professional life, Duanne has held positions in banks and micro finance institutions in the US, Bolivia and Mexico. She also spent many years as a consultant for start-ups and innovative financing programs focused on social, environmental and economic justice, and sustainability and clean energy finance models.
zDuanne earned a BS in Political Science and Economics from New York University (NYU) where she graduated after attending two years at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. She also holds an MBA from the Harvard International Institute for Development (HIID), in cooperation with the Catholic University of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Duane is a Development Finance Certified Professional (DFCP).
